SAG Award Winners 2020: Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Tony Shalhoub Win for Comedy

Written by

The SAG Awards are being handed out tonight by the Hollywood actors’ guild, SAG-AFTRA. Comparable in size and membership to the academy, SAG is considered an important precursor award to the Oscars. That said, nominees for the SAG Awards were unveiled in December and don’t entirely match up with the Academy Award nominees announced last week. For instance, “Joker” led the Oscars field with 11 nods, but it was left out of the SAG best ensemble list, the guild’s version of best picture. Conversely, “Bombshell” is up for SAG’s top honor but not Oscar’s.

Here is the complete list of winners, being updated throughout the night as each prize is handed out.

Outstanding stunt ensemble: “Avengers: Endgame”

Outstanding ensemble, comedy series: “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”

Best actor, comedy series: Tony Shalhoub, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”

Best actress, comedy series: Phoebe Waller-Bridge, “Fleabag”

Outstanding stunt ensemble: “Game of Thrones”
