We all know that it has been a pretty tough year for Jason Mitchell. Earlier this year, news broke that he was accused of inappropriate behavior by his co-stars, which has caused him to lose not one, but two acting gigs. However, it looks like Jason is taking the steps in the right direction to right his wrongs.
A source has exclusively revealed to The Shade Room that Jason has completed a mental health course to get help in relation to the misconduct allegations that have been made by his industry peers.
According to the source, Jason has worked on anger management, self-awareness, acceptance of responsibility, and purpose.
As we previously reported, back in May, Jason was released from his agency and booted from his roles on the hit Showtime series, “The Chi,” and also a film where he was set to star opposite from former “Saturday Night Live” actress Nasim Pedrad and Anna Camp.
As things continued to unravel it was revealed that his character Brandon Johnson would be killed on the upcoming third season of “The Chi.” Jason first publicly addressed the misconduct allegations back in August under an Instagram post.
At the time, Jason said, “I think it’s time to make a statement. To everyone commenting without any knowledge of what’s going please stop…and to all my supporters I appreciate you all and I’m sorry I will no longer be in (“The Chi”)..but don’t believe what you read in the media…”
We’re told Jason started working with a doctor in his hometown of New Orleans back in August, and they are still continuing to work together.
Roommates, what are your thoughts?
